SURABAYA, July 19, 2025 – PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara Nusantara Power Services (PLN NP Services) successfully held a two-day training on communication and media stakeholder management from July 14 to 15, 2025, at the Luminor Hotel on Jalan Raya Jemursari, Surabaya.

The training, attended by more than 30 participants from all PLN NP Services units across Indonesia, aimed to enhance employee competency, especially in the fields of communication and public relations. It is hoped that in practice, this will lead to good and harmonious relationships with local stakeholders and mass media.

On the first day of the training, participants gained in-depth insights into how companies can build good relationships with stakeholders, especially the mass media. This material was delivered by Alcander Alonzo, Officer of Corporate Communication at PT PLN Nusantara Power, and Adhanto K.M., Officer of Stakeholder Management.

The second day of the training focused on press release writing techniques and effective communication skills with the mass media. To provide a direct perspective from media practitioners, PLN NP Services specifically invited journalists from Ketapang, West Kalimantan, including Theo Bernadhi (Head of the Ketapang Journalists Alliance), Abdul Salim (Member of the Indonesian Journalists Association of West Kalimantan), and Nur Imam Satria (Journalist for Tribun Pontianak).

The Corporate Secretary of PLN NP Services, Mr. Dewanto Wicaksono, in his closing speech, expressed his hope that the materials presented during the training would be a valuable asset and be implemented at each power plant unit.

“We hope the materials presented over these two days can be a resource and applied at each respective power plant unit. Each unit is expected to be more sensitive and proactive in building good relationships with the media, not just when there is a problem,” said Mr. Dewanto Wicaksono. “The media is one of the crucial stakeholders that must be taken seriously. A symbiotic mutualism must continue to be built and nurtured, making it important for each unit in the future to identify and, if necessary, propose media-related costs in the preparation of the Company’s Work and Budget Plan (RKAP).”

This event was well-received by all participants, as the training provided them with greater knowledge to manage stakeholders and enhanced their competency in writing press releases.
