JAKARTA, July 4, 2025 – PT PLN Nusantara Power Services (PLN NPS) once again achieved a brilliant accomplishment at the 2025 Indonesia Best Electricity Award (IBEA), winning The Best Special Award on Community Empowerment/CSR. The event was held on July 3-4, 2025, at the Birawa Hall, Hotel Bidakara Jakarta.
The head of the IBEA 2025 Jury, Prof. Tumiran, stated that IBEA 2025 is not only a form of appreciation but also a space to find innovation in the national energy industry. “The IBEA 2025 event is a platform to find innovations within the domestic industry, so that the domestic industry can get support from the government to become a priority in increasing clean energy in Indonesia. In addition, Indonesian youth must become superior human resources to become skilled workers in the clean energy sector,” said Prof. Tumiran.
The award for The Best Special Award on Community Empowerment/CSR was given for the success of the Community Development program run by PLN NPS at the Belitung coal-fired power plant (PLTU). The program was considered to have a significant positive impact on community empowerment and the implementation of corporate social responsibility. The award was presented by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Dadan Kusdiana, and received directly by the Director of Operation & Maintenance of PLN NPS, Mr. Maryono.
This achievement is concrete proof of PT PLN Nusantara Power Services’ commitment to providing the best and superior innovation in the electricity and supporting sectors. “We are very proud and grateful for this award. This is the result of the hard work and dedication of the entire PLN NPS team, especially those at the Belitung PLTU, in running the Community Development program,” said Mr. Maryono. “This award will be a motivation for us to continue to innovate and make a real contribution to the community and the electricity industry in Indonesia.”
